Easter and Savannah

We enjoyed an early Easter dinner at Mimi's house since we were leaving immediately after church on Easter Sunday for our vacation in Savannah. Avery created a few games for the family to play, and we all had a great time celebrating.
Once in Savannah, we arrived at the AVIA hotel that Ross had chosen, and it was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in a suite that had separate sleeping areas so Avery could maintain a decent bedtime and Ross & I could stay up a little later. She thought it was incredibly cool that her bed was a sleeper sofa and the lamp in her area had dangling "crystals". It was definitely the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing.
The slideshow above shows some Easter pics as well as random photos in Savannah. We went on an historic trolley tour, the Savannah movie tour, and ate at some fabulous restaurants (including twice at Paula Deen's Lady & Sons!). Many movies have been made in Savannah, such as 'Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil', 'The Legend of Baggar Vance', and 'Forrest Gump'. It was fascinating to see the locations on screen while we were driving by.
This was our last family vacation as 3 before we welcome our newest daughter in July. The weather was amazing, and Ross commented that it was incredible that there wasn't the normal heat and humidity that he normally encounters in Savannah. I love being with my sweet family, and I can only imagine how much fun our new addition will add when she arrives!
