I'll blog about the second video in a future post.
McCormick's new line of Gourmet Spice Blends includes a Sweet Basil & Bruschetta Chicken and this was featured in the first video. I was able to meet Lillian, one of my online foodie friends from NY, who visited me (I'm from NC) so we could cook it together. She's on the right.
If you're a busy mom (like me!) who sometimes has trouble cooking a delicious, relatively quick, wholesome meal in the midst of your work & home obligations, Girl Scout meetings, clubs, and soccer season then you are going to LOVE these kitchen helpers! Lillian shared the Sweet Basil & Oregano Bruschetta Chicken blend with me in our video and it is phenomenal and sooooo easy!!
Here's what you want to look for in your local store--they may not be available now but will be in the very near future:
6 delicious blends |
You can tell by the window on the packaging exactly what the ingredients are, but if you're unsure, you can read every ingredient on the back of the package. What? Stop? Yes! I said you can actually read--and pronounce--every ingredient that goes into these mixes. They are all natural and premixed in exactly the right measurements to create a relatively quick and easy home-cooked meal. No measuring, no having to substitute one spice for one you're out of, everything you need is in there. With one of these bad boys, fresh meat and vegetables, and a few simple ingredients we all have at home, everyone can put a fabulous meal on the table in about 45 minutes. Our videos, when they are released, will show you how. For now, enjoy your behind-the-scenes sneak peek of the making of the upcoming video from McCormick!

Very excited about trying these out! I have an hour commute each way from my office and we find ourselves eating later and later. The seasoning mixes sound like they would be a great time saver and convenient. If I won - I would share with my sweet niece Brittany. She is a sophomore in college and just getting interested in cooking. Next year she will be sharing an apartment with three girls and will be cooking most of the time instead of using the meal plan. This would be such a great tool for her and take all the guess work out of her meal planning. Great, great idea for a new cook!
ReplyDeleteVery excited to try these out! I would share this with my sister-in-law who loves to cook almost as much as me.
ReplyDeleteSo excited about this new product! I have 3 grown children who have 3 totally different lifestyles. One is a bachelor, the other is a busy mom of 2 little boys, and the third one is learning to live on her own again since going through a divorce. Learning to cook for 1 person and managing her diabetes is just a few of the things she is figuring out. I think, if I won, I would share them with all 3 of them because I can see where they all would benefit from the simplicity and convenience of these mixes.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and I can't wait to see them on the shelves of my local grocery stores.
I'll be watching for these on the shelves at the local grocery stores here too. They sound great and I'm sure will be a big hit.
ReplyDeleteIf I won, I would share with my two daughters who are both great cooks.
Thank you.

I'm looking forward to your video and also to trying the new mixes. I love that you know what's exactly what's in them. I'm trying to stay away from pre-packaged foods that have ingredients in them that I cannot pronounce. That being said, I would definitely share these with my son. He is starting to have an interest in cooking and it's my perception that he does most of the cooking at his house. He has used other packaged seasoning mixes on chicken so this will be a great thing for both of us to try!
ReplyDeleteI shared your blog on facebook :) I also put a link out there on twitter :)
ReplyDeleteI hope these are Gluten free like so many of my other favorite McCormick seasonings! I would share with my granddaughter who has just started to have an interest in cooking. She is 6. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time! If I were lucky enough to win your giveaway, I'd share with my nephew...he's a great cook and is getting married in July...would make mealtime a snap for them!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great time. Really love McCormick spices and recipes. Will have to look for these new ones. If I win I would share with my favorite online foodie WitchyWoman. She would really enjoy those, I'm sure. She cooks around the world from her RV and has really gotten me more adventurous with cooking.
ReplyDeleteI love spices of all kinds, so this would be right up my alley.
ReplyDeleteI would share my spices with my sister-in-law, Judy, because I know she would love them too. Thanks for having the give-a-way!
Can't wait till these come out in the stores. They look great! I would definitely share my extra set with my daughter, who has 4 children 7, 6, 3, and 2.
